The bible is true and useful only when it is subject to the scrutiny and authority of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18) and is illumined by the Holy Spirit (John 14:26). It is the revelation of God to humanity (Hebrews 1:1), divinely inspired by God, recorded and transmitted by humanity (2 Corinthians 3:6) and is rightfully the core of Christian doctrine.
