Are you there God it’s me...

After decades of passive wishing, you have finally made me a morning person. I give thanks that I am able to greet you with the dawn, even if I sometimes go to sleep again afterwards. Watching the sky come to life feels like I’m accompanying you through creation.

Lord please bless the works of my hands. Let the world see my creations and call them good. Grant me the power to make my days productive and purpose-driven. Align what I do with your will so that the things I write, say, create and think are true reflections of you and have power.

I ask you to make me more thoughtful and kind Lord. There are so many things I don’t do that I could or should. Allow my mind and heart to be more centered on you and thoughtful of others as I go through my days and nights. Let the words of my mouth be good, truthful and encouraging, not offhand or biting. You have all power oh God, including the power to change and transform even me.

Bless those who are trapped in dangerous or unhealthy situations. Provide them with a means of escape. Be a very real source of help in their time of trouble. Position me that I may be an extension of your aid and rescue.

I thank you in advance for answered prayers, including for things I do not even know to pray for. You are worthy of all praise and thanks. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray.
