Are you there God it’s me...

Thank you for waking me up today. Every day is a mercy, but especially when I am with dear friends. You give exceedingly abundant above all I could hope for, ask or imagine. I’m grateful for all the joy you have placed in my life.

Bless me with a spirit of generosity oh Lord. Let me give of myself as you give to me. Allow me to be a blessing in the lives of others. Give me a passion for sharing your love and mercy.

On this Mother's Day, bless those who have lost children. Holy Spirit be a very present source of comfort and consolation. Bring the childless opportunities to parent and reclaim some of the joys of motherhood. Show me how I can lighten their spirits.

It can be so easy to give you praise and honor only in the good times, or when times are so low that it's clear I need you to survive. Teach me to praise you even in the ordinary times. It is in Jesus' name and for his sake I pray.
