Are you there God it’s me...
When I wake up early and it’s just you and me, time stands still. Thank you for being a God I can approach. I don’t need to pray from far away and hope you hear. I can whisper my heart’s desires in your ear and rest in your protective arms.
Thank you for loving me. The promises of the world come and go, but you remain steadfast. Your unconditional love teaches me how to care for myself and others. Let me reflect your loving kindness in all that I do.
Lord I pray for people stuck in unhealthy situations. Give them the courage and opportunity to change their circumstance. Change can be so scary, even if it is for the better. Dwell in your people Lord and give them the ability to endure and alter their environments according to your will.
Let us care for each other and ourselves as you care for us oh God. Overcome the conflict and the division of the world with your spirit of unity and love. Quiet the spirits of violence in our world and let there be peace in the land. Bless the peacemakers and resolve even our inner tensions according to your will.
You can do all things. Before I lifted my voice you knew what was on my mind. But you gave my the chance to unburden myself anyway. I am glad I serve and all-knowing God as opposed to a know-it-all one. Your spirit nourishes me. It is in Jesus’ name and for his sake I pray.
